4. Briefly describe the school plan.
   
4. a What you will do and how the money will be spent to improve student academic performance (be specific).
  Trust Lands money will be used to purchase a .5 FTE to reduce class size in the Fourth grade.   This will help in bringing each class to a manageable class size and help teachers provide effective instruction  to all students.  In addition,  Trust Land money will be used to provide Professional Development to the staff in the areas of assessment and data collection/ review.  This will provide more support in the areas of Math and Reading by giving teachers the ability to help students on their instructional level and provide appropriate instruction to move them to grade level.
4. b Your committee's specific goals for student improvement.
  Reading:  For students in Grade K - 2:  Based on CRT data, improve students' skills in phonics. Reading:  For students in Grade 3 - 6:  Based on CRT data, improve students' skills in comprehension. Mathematics:  Based on CRT data, we will improve students' ability to retain what is taught in Math throughout the year.

  Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS), 1-3 Stanford Diagnostic Reading Test (SDRT), State Criterion Referenced Tests (CRTs), Direct Writing Assessment.
4. d How your committee intends to spend additional funds for academic improvement if the school receives more money than estimated in the financial proposal of this school plan.
  Additional funds will be used to purchase support materials in Reading and Math to help fulfill our school goals.

  The Trust Lands Plan and School Improvement Plan are created together as one plan. Trust Lands is part of the School Improvement Plan.
